Random Thought #1: The Begining

Create an add-on/script for LL that would flag all users for their specific political views. Or, alternatively, create a database of LLers and their opinions on topics. Manually register these in by hand. Create a web interface for this date. Create an LL script that can query this database and based on the query generate the flags on the posts.

At first I was thinking of doing this by hand with FoxLinks and highlighting users based on their stance on 9/11, but then the idea grew. The initial LL post that made me think about it was this.

I would have to figure out how I would want to structure the database. I guess I could just use sql. For the hosting... hmmm... I could dick around with creating a linux server that could house this. I could also use it to test other web applications. Web coding seems to be where it's at. So, I would need to learn sql and javascript for the greasemonkey script. Maybe some really basic cgi or php to interface with the sql. Just something really basic that can fill in the shit... and I guess query the shit... Maybe... Or I could use it as a secret database, but it wouldn't be secret.

Also, I would then have to figure out if I wanted to release it to LL. If I did, it would sure create a shit ton of drama, but perhaps I would also become famous for at least a little bit, and my name would probably be permanently archived in some form. It will be worth it.

The Beginning, because you have to start somewhere. But I hope most of the titles follow that layout, and the first of everything always has to be a little different.

Random thoughts won't follow normal posts. They will just be little asides from my daily adventures. They will likely be my random opinions of something at the time. A step away from sitcom life. Ha, that is for another random thought.
